Biker Chic

Posted onOctober 7, 2013

When buying an item of clothing it’s always great if it’s versatile enough to suit any number of occasions. And so when I was given the challenge to make my newPU stud trim biker leather look jacket from Simply Befit with three different outfits I accepted the challenge and started rummaging through my wardrobe!

The jacket in question is size 18.

I found it to be a very generous size 18, and I think a 14 would have been a good fit should I just want to wear the jacket just over one layer of clothing. However, with the cold weather approaching I will no doubt be adding layers underneath to keep me snug, and so this will be a welcome winter wardrobe addition. The jacket is very soft and supple and feels great on. The sleeves are a great length on me, but I would love it if the jacket itself were a little longer. It comes with pockets which is a must when you need a phone, an iPod and an oyster card to hand every single day. I love the slashed zip of the jacket, and it was easy to do up, even over my chest! Here are the three looks I created with it:

Casual

Top:BiuBiu

Jeans:Evans

Shoes:Debenhams

Smart Casual

Dress:Goddiva

Tights:Sonsee

Wedges:New Look (click for similar styles)

Dress:Marina Rinaldi

What do you think of the three looks I have created?

I recently purchased a nice leather bomber jacket and wear it with all my retro dresses along with jeans, etc. They are so versatile!

I always feel like leather jackets come up an inch or two shorter than I would like them to be, because I’ve never found (even a plus-size one!) Fashion Life Mag was built to accomodate a full bust. I’m the unfortunate apple to your pear, so it’s probably more important for me to have length in the front to hide the belly when zipped. This looks fantastic on you, and I love all three ensembles, although my favorite has to be the casual look. Those peep-toe flats are gorge! 🙂

I bought a gorgeous leather moto jacket a couple of years ago, and I wear it all the time in the fall. They are one of those perfect layering pieces that works equally well over jeans or a fancy dress. Yours is beautiful, and I love the outfits!

You are such a style icon! Thanks for all the great tips on how us plus size girls can look as good as you. Love the review! xxxxxxxxxx

[…] like. Naturally a belt has rectified this for me, just like always! This is my second piece from Goddiva Plus and both items have been worn and washed several time and I am really happy with […]

That jacket makes you look so great! Not that you don’t already. 🙂

Having a larger bust can make shopping a nightmare. Having a larger figure can make you weep with frustration in changing rooms. I have both and I am here to share and learn how to make the most of it.
